Not All Outlines of a Paper Should Be the SameNot all write-ups or outlines of a paper need to be exactly the same. The task is for students to be able to write outlines or paper outlines that are unique in some way. Many students feel that they would be better off with a somewhat similar outline, but with a bit more variety added.A student should always remember that the purpose of writing the outline of the paper is to help them in finding ideas, or things to write about. Students who find that they have an outline that has some sort of common theme, or elements to it, may have trouble when it comes time to write the actual paper. For instance, if a student had an outline of a paper that had an internship as the central topic, or theme, it could become rather boring or even tedious to try and do it again a second time, simply because the main idea is already in place.If a student were to write an outline that was written with a common theme, they would then find that the job become s that much easier, as they are in a better position to draw from the lessons learned in the chapter. Sometimes the outline of the paper is all that the student needs to be able to turn their ideas into finished papers. This is not always the case, but sometimes it can make a huge difference.There are many ways to write out an outline of a paper, but one should not use too many different topics. Too many can confuse the student and make it harder to write the actual paper. Instead, it is best to start with just one or two major topics. Once these are covered, they will already be familiar with what the topic is going to be and will therefore have a better idea of how to create a paper outline that they can work with.One way to look at this is to think of the outline of a paper as a road map. Every topic should be clearly marked, and there should be little-to-no gaps in the information. The student should make sure that all of the maps are within a few miles of each other, and they s hould also use maps with 'tolls' on them. They should be well within the specified distance of each other, but they should also provide a simple map for the student to follow once they get to the point where they need more information.Sometimes it is necessary to move back one or two pages to fill in information or get more information. One way to go about this is to include the last several pages of the main outline of the paper, then fill in the information with the new information that was gathered during those final few pages. After doing this, the paper will now read better, and the writer will have more ideas to work with.If the writer feels that they have run out of ideas during the previous few pages, or if they feel that they might run out of space, then it is time to move on and get some more ideas. One way to accomplish this is to have a brainstorming session with the student. This is usually best done over a period of time, so that the student is able to put themselves i n a relaxed state, and allow their brain to work freely. Having a discussion over time is often a much better approach than just throwing a bunch of ideas out there, because students will then be able to analyze the information that is being thrown at them, and make the correct choices.Students who write or do not write outlines of a paper should try to consider some of the things that have been mentioned here. Many times students feel that they cannot use too many topics for their paper, because they have no idea what the main topic of the paper is. It is best to explore one or two different topics before switching to a different topic.
